The car was initially made to follow a white line using a set of two IR sensors in the front of the car and a set of if statements.

Bluetooth Control
The car can also be driven from your phone. Using a serial bluetooth terminal you can connect to the onboard HC-06 and control the car using numbers 1-5. The car is able to drive forward, backward and turn right and left as well as brake.
CAD
The CAD was done using Autodesk Fusion360 and Solidworks. The below image was the original prototype. The final design used a rectangular piece of laser cut lexan and modular motor mounts pictured in the second photo below.
