The mask was designed in Autodesk Fusion 360 and made in 3 parts to print and assemble. The outer shell, the face mask and the moving components. The mask physically needed to be able to open as well as fit my head. Once it was fit to accomplish those two goals, it became time to start the electronics.
The electronics have not been finished yet and are currently waiting until the rover project is finished, as the brain(ai buddy) in rover is to be implemented in the mask. The electronics is comprised of many components. The electronics include a microphone, speakers, 2 cameras, 2 servos, an inside screen, an arduino nano and a raspberry pi. The mask must be able to open, display the camera feed on the in-mask screen, receive commands vocally as well as respond both visually and vocally.
The code behind this project is an amalgamation of the code from some of my previous projects. The code to operate the servo's opening and closing the mask is very similar to that of the spiderman mask and the brain will be taken almosy directly from the rover project with hopes to eventually connect them to be one brain between both them, my computer and my phone. The newest aspects are the vocal aspects and visual display.
